La canción Between Her Goodbye and My Hello fue escrita por Jim Weatherly en 1974, para el grupo de música Soul Gladys Knight & the Pips.

Después de grabar Knight Time, el álbum que incluyó este tema, el grupo dejó Motown, y quizá por este motivo se hizo muy poca publicidad del álbum. Por ello, esta canción pasó algo desapercibida en el momento de su publicación.

Es una de esas canciones perfectas si hace poco acabas de romper con alguien, porque ¿sabes qué ocurrirá en el tiempo en que se acabó y empieces con alguien nuevo? Madre mía, ¿por qué ya no se escribirán canciones así? :)
